Our largest queen, Room 7, located on the garden level, occupies the northwest corner and has three eyebrow windows. This extra private room is located next to the Houseboat Studio and is conducive to an extended stay. The two rooms are often reserved by the same party to create a private family or friends' vacation 'compound' that, together, can sleep up to 8 people in a total of 595 square feet of living space. The room has a queen bed and a charming raised platform bed (a generous twin that is large enough to sleep two small children) that has been built into the bay window recess. The room has a casual beach bungalow feel accentuated by the cork flooring with a natural coir area rug. The walls are painted in a soothing blue-green hue and there are lots of natural wood touches in the built-in shelves, counters, and bureau drawers, as well as a 3-drawer bureau. In addition to an upholstered arm chair, there are two high-chairs and a counter for having a snack en suite. The bathroom is the largest of all the queen rooms and reflects a high degree of contemporary design and finish. (235 square feet; maximum guest occupancy 5; for 3rd 4th and 5th person in the room a surcharge of $35.00 per person per day applies; kids of all ages are welcome).
