RESERVATIONS
- Please feel secure and confident using our online booking application to obtain a
confirmed room reservation.
- For stays of 3 nights or less, full prepayment
is required at time of booking.
- For stays of 4 nights or more, a 50% deposit
is acceptable.
- You may also call or email us with your room request and we will respond in a timely
fashion. If you desire, we will complete the confirmed reservation process by taking your credit card information over the telephone
and then we will email your confirmation.
- During the late spring, summer and into
mid-autumn, and on all holiday weekends
and special Nantucket
events and festivals, certain minimum stays are in effect.
CANCELLATIONS
- Cancellations received at least 30 days prior
to the scheduled arrival date result in a full refund less a 10% processing fee on the
amount of the entire room reservation.
- Less than a 30 day advance notice prior to
the scheduled arrival date results in forfeiture of the entire room reservation amount unless the entire reservation is re-rented to a single entity and at no net loss
to the Inn. The 10% processing fee applies.
- Post-confirmation changes made to arrival or departure date may or may not be considered a cancellation. Please consult directly with the innkeeper who can explain your options in specific terms.
RATES
- All quoted or posted rates, including seasonal ranges, are based on single or double occupancy of the room.
- In rooms 1, 4, 6 and 7 only, for each
additional guest up to the room’s maximum capacity there is
a surcharge of $35.00 per person per night.
- Rates are subject to change at any time without advance notice.
PAYMENT

- We accept Visa, MasterCard, American
Express and Discover.
- For reservations made at least 45 days in advance we will gladly accept your personal or company check for the full payment or deposit, if applicable
CHILDREN
- We absolutely adore children. Your young ones from infancy to 14 years of age are welcome to stay with you in the following rooms:
Room #1 (the Master Suite),
Room #6
(the Houseboat Studio) and Room #7
(a triple with Queen + Twin bed) .
- Kids who are age 14 and over may stay with you in any room of the house, provided that he or she shares your bed in the rooms that have only one queen bed (#2, #3, #5).
PETS
- Please call Mr. Blunt on 508 228 9693 to discuss your desire to have your pet stay with you at the inn
- Room 6 and 7 are designated as "OK" for very quiet, healthy, clean and well socialized pets.
- The same $35.00 a night surcharge that applies to extra humans in the room also applies to animals so be sure to count your pet when you enter the total number of persons in the room.
- If the pet causes any mess or odor than cannot be remediated with ordinary housekeeping we reserve the right to charge your credit card an additonal fee of $100.00.
- If the pet, by any of its actions whatsover, bothers any guest staying at the inn, and the quest reports same to management, we reserve the right to insist you board the animal at the local MSPCA shelter (about a mile away), or you will agree to relinquish the balance of your room reservation and depart the premises with no refund.
SMOKING
- The Centerboard has been a non-smoking house for at least 20 years
- Smoking is prohibited inside the inn and on
the front porch and in garden area
- Smoking is permitted only on the sidewalks or driveway that form the perimeters of the property
GUEST CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
- Check-In: 3:00 PM or later
- Early arrivals (after 10:00 AM, please) are encouraged and will be admitted to room if ready for your occupancy
- If your room is not ready for occupancy when you arrive you may leave your luggage here
and return later
- Please notify us in advance if you plan to
arrive after 9:00PM
- Check-Out: 11:00AM. During your stay at the inn please do ask about the possibility of a somewhat later check-out.
ISLAND FESTIVALS AND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
- Room rates and normal minimum stay requirements are subject to increases during special island events and over holiday periods.
BICYCLES
- Nantucket Island is bike-friendly with miles
and miles of purpose-built, paved bike paths going out from Town to points west, east
and south
- You can bring your own bike on the ferries for a nominal charge or rent them here for varying durations and rates. We have a 10% discount program with Nantucket Bike Rental.
- Racks are located in the back patio area for securing your bikes overnight
AUTOMOBILES
- Please consider not bringing your automobile. You can explore all of Nantucket Town and
the immediate surrounding areas, including several beaches, on foot or bike; the big-surf Atlantic Ocean beaches are
3- 4 miles from the inn, accessible via bike paths or taxis. From late May to mid October all major points
of the island are serviced by scheduled shuttle buses from the center of Nantucket Town.
- If you do bring your automobile, or rent one here, you may apply to us in advance of your arrival for a Street Parking Permit, subject to availability and issued for a refundable cash deposit of $100.00.
