Our Resident innkeeper Lyn Francis was born and raised in the North of England and began her working career in The Royal Navy as a registered nurse. Becoming a midwife led her to Saudi Arabia and finally to Stowe Vermont. The last 27 years have been spent part owning and operating Ye Olde England Inne & Mr Pickwick’s gastro pub and steakhouse, raising a family and volunteering as an Emergency Medical Technician and now she brings all of that experience to The Centerboard Guest House.

Lyn’s entire working career has been spent taking care of people and ensuring their comfort in one way or another and her position here is an extension of that. Running a small inn allows her the opportunity to cater to each guest’s needs individually. She is on hand to provide information on what this lovely island has to offer and to send you home with a smile.
